Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy is a time of many physical and emotional transitions. Prenatal massage can soften these transitions by helping to reduce stress, encourage relaxation, improve sleep, minimize the discomforts of pregnancy’s physiological adaptations, and reduce musculoskeletal strain and pain. For prenatal massage, I use a wedge pillow for lying semi-reclined on the back and a side-lying cushion system, designed specifically for pregnant folks to comfortably lie on their sides.

Postnatal Massage
It takes 40 weeks to grow a baby and at least equal time to recover after pregnancy and birth. Massage during the postpartum period can help improve sleep, support a smoother transition through emotional and physiological changes, and address the physical strain common with newborn care (especially the neck, shoulders, arms, and back). Massage can be received as soon after birth as you would like. Baby is welcome to be in the room during the massage; if they get hungry or restless we can accommodate by having you lie in a side-lying position to nurse/console while continuing to receive massage.

Therapeutic Massage
A blend of Swedish and deep tissue techniques with pressure adjusted to your comfort/preference. Slow and nourishing, this session will be tailored to you and what you feel your body is needing. Whether that be pure relaxation, more targeted work for areas of discomfort, or a blending of the two.

Thai Yoga Massage
Thai massage, a 2,500-year-old practice originating in Thailand, combines deep weighted pressure, mobilization, traction, and assisted stretching. Regular Thai sessions can help to improve range of motion, bring more ease in movement, and calm the mind. Thai is performed with the client fully clothed on a cushioned mat on the floor.
